Terms and Conditions for Shell Drivers' Club Online Shopping
By accessing or using the Shell Drivers' Club Shopping website (hereinafter
referred to as the 'Online Shopping website') you agree to be
bound by these Terms and Conditions and any additional or alternative terms,
conditions, rules and policies in connection with the Online Shopping website
which are communicated to you. Please note that these Terms and Conditions
may be updated from time to time without notice and contain legal obligations;
please read them carefully.
If you use the Online Shopping website, you are responsible for maintaining
the confidentiality of your account details and for restricting access to
your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities
that occur under your account or password. If you are under 18, you may use
the Online Shopping website only with involvement of a parent or guardian.
The Online Shopping website includes links to the websites of third party
merchants. Shell U.K. Oil Products Limited (as agent for Shell U.K. Limited)
('Shell') is not responsible for these third party merchant's
websites or for any goods, information or services supplied through or in
connection with them. Use of (and purchases on) these third party websites
will be subject to the merchant's own terms and conditions, which you
should also read. Shell assumes no responsibility with respect to your use
of any third party merchant's website.
Any dealings you may enter into with any third parties, including any merchants
or advertisers referred to, listed or linked to on the Online Shopping website
will be solely between you and such third parties, including any transactions
for the purchase of goods or services from such third parties.
All such dealings
will be subject to the merchant's or other third party's terms
and conditions, and privacy policies, applicable to such transactions.
Extra terms may apply to any purchases you make. These terms may contain
important information relating to the product, which might affect your right
to claim compensation or a refund. It is your responsibility to make a note
of these and to ask for more details at the time of purchase if necessary.
If you would like to receive a copy of any merchant's terms and conditions,
please ask the relevant merchant's customer service agents.
Shell is not responsible for any charges you or any user of your account
incurs as a result of dealings with any merchant or other third parties referred
to, listed or linked to, on the Online Shopping website. Further, you accept
responsibility for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws in connection
with any such transactions. You agree that Shell shall not be responsible
or liable, directly or indirectly, in any way for any loss or damage of any
kind incurred as a result of, or in connection with, any such dealings or
transactions including, without limitation, any returns, refunds, or any
product liability claims.
Online Shopping membership
You must register on the Online Shopping website to be able to collect Shell
Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club points (referred to hereafter as 'points')
through online shopping. The Online Shopping website uses your Shell Drivers' Club/Shell
V-Power Club account to award points. Therefore you must hold a valid Shell
Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account and register your Shell Drivers' Club/Shell
V-Power Club account number and email address in order for us to ensure that
you receive your points. Shell is not liable for points not being awarded
due to the fact that the registrant is using an account number or email address
different from his/her Shell Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account
number and email address. It is your responsibility to register again with
the Online Shopping website in the event you update or change your Shell
Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account information on the Shell Drivers' Club/Shell
V-Power Club website.
We may end your membership in the Online Shopping scheme (making sure that
we credit your Shell Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account with
any points that we owe you in line with these Terms and Conditions) if we
reasonably believe that you have acted in a way that harms the scheme or
any distributor or merchant. These actions include but are not limited to:
- illegal or fraudulent activities;
- collecting points dishonestly or in a way that breaks these terms and conditions;
- hostile, abusive or aggressive behaviour towards our staff or the staff
of merchants or distributors;
- and knowingly providing us with false or misleading information.
Points into your Shell Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account
Any points awarded as a result of actual purchases made with a third party
merchant via the Online Shopping website are based only on the price of the
product. Shipping charges, tax, and gift wrapping, for example, are not used
in the calculation of points. All one-time points are issued after all qualifying
terms of service have been met with the merchant offering the points.
Shell is only able to track and award points for purchase transactions that
have been made by members while being logged onto the Online Shopping website
and accessing the merchant's website through the 'shop now' link
on the merchant's profile page. The transactions you make are with
the individual merchant, not with Shell.
All points offers displayed on the Online Shopping website are subject to
change without notice. Shell will make every effort to ensure points offers
are correctly illustrated on the Online Shopping website.
Shell does not accept liability for any software or hardware failure on the
merchant's side.
Your Shell Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account will be credited
when the merchant confirms your transaction and has issued the funds that
will allow Shell to award points, usually within 35 days. In the case of
travel, points will be awarded after the completion of travel.
Should the goods be refunded or the sale otherwise reversed then the points
payment will not be made. You are reminded that points credited to your Shell
Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club account may be cancelled if the merchant
from whom you have ordered goods or services advises us that the transaction
between you and the merchant was cancelled for whatever reason.
(For example,
because you returned or didn't pay for products or services for which
the points were issued). If you have been awarded points on a purchase that
was subsequently returned and refunded, Shell will cancel the amount of the
over-issued points through your Shell Drivers' Club/Shell V-Power Club
account.
The awarding of points may be delayed if the merchant is late in confirming
your transaction and has not issued the funds that will allow Shell to award
points. Often our merchants do not process transactions until their returns
policy date has expired.
No points will be granted until funds have been received by Shell from the
merchant or their agents.
Although reasonable efforts are used to ensure that the Online Shopping
website is current, no assurance is given by Shell that the information about
items of merchandise displayed on the Online Shopping website is completely
accurate in terms of price, availability or description.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. We reserve
